To encourage people to stay home and prevent the spread of COV-19, the “Free Winnipeg Weekend Events” list will be on hiatus until July 2, 2020 or until further notice. Please do not submit events that occur before July 1. Events scheduled for July 2 or later can be submitted. In addition, free online North American events will now be listed.
Spray Pads Opening June 3
The City of Winnipeg is opening 18 of its 21 stand-alone spray pads beginning Wednesday, June 3, in accordance with the Province of Manitoba’s Restoring Safe Services plan.
Winnipeg is known for its unique winter experiences, flourishing arts scene, and colourful festivals, as well as its green spaces and access to outdoor activities.
During winter, in the heart of the city, you can find one of the most, longest natural frozen skating trails. The skating trail takes you along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers spanning 8.5 kilometres in length.
Known as the “cultural cradle of Canada”, Winnipeg is home to many events including the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Winnipeg Fringe Festival and Folklorama. Newer attractions include the world-class Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
