STRIKE ILLUMINATED: WALKING TOUR

Join Heritage Winnipeg in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike and immerse yourself in the history of Winnipeg’s General Strike on this short walking tour!
Visit prominent strike locations such as the Committee of 1000’s headquarters, Portage and Main for the June 10th Riot, and learn about the workers who were involved in one of the most significant labour conflicts in Canadian history.
This tour will end at 436 Main Street, to watch Heritage Winnipeg’s new illuminated display on the Winnipeg General Strike, featuring newsreel and documentary footage, as well as a trailer for the Danny Schur’s upcoming film Stand!
Please wear comfortable footwear, and a coat if the weather is cold. Tours will be cancelled in the case of rain.
