CALLING ALL 2SLGBTQI+ FOLX AND ACCOMPLICES!! Skaters of all skill levels / non-skaters / skate curious and all gravity sports welcome! (skateboarding, bmx, scootering, long boarding, roller blading, roller skating, etc!)
QUEER SKATE DAY IS A FREE, ALL AGES, ALL SKILL LEVELS EVENT!
THIS A WEAR A COSTUME EVENT! GET CREATIVE !!! WEAR DRAG! WEAR A COSTUME!! GET SCARY !
(~this is a reminder that there is NO offensive costumes allowed, which means don’t appropriate anyones culture)
We will be having a “bring your own food to share with everyone” event!!! Make sure when bringing homemade food to please provide a list of ingredients! LET’S FEED THE COMMUNITY!
If you don’t have a board we can set one up/get a partial setup from our donations!!
*WE REDISTRIBUTE OUR DONATIONS TO THOSE WHO ARE IN MATERIAL NEED. QUEERS / BIPOC / YOUTH WHO CAN’T AFFORD PARTS WILL BE PRIORITIZED FIRST!*
We will also have a few loaner boards for those who would like to try it out! (Skate tools will be available to those who need to set up boards to use. Limited safety gear will also be available to use. There will also be people willing to set up boards for folx as well!)

Sargent Skatepark, 1111 Wall St, Winnipeg, MB R3E 2S1, Located behind the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex. On the corner of Wellington and Wall Street.
-Bus route 12 takes you to Wellington/Wall stop
OR route 15 takes you to Sargent/Wall stop, then walk one block.
Nearest washrooms are located in the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which is open until 6:30 on Saturdays.
OR at Scam Skate located 100-1079 Wellington Avenue, open 11 am – 7 pm on Saturdays.
Entrance to the skatepark from the parking lot – parking lot ground is a little uneven / rocky, and there is a 1/2 inch crack separating the skatepark and the parking lot.
