Osborne Village BIZ Canada Day Street Festival 2020 is Cancelled

Winnipeg, MB — It’s with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the Osborne Village BIZ Canada Day Street Festival.
We care about the health and safety of our business members, patrons, volunteers, community members and with the impacts of the virus continuing to evolve, we feel we cannot, in good conscious, move forth with the planning and execution of the 2020 event.

“I felt this was the right decision. We will need to support our members to get back to business once the COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed. The economy of Osborne Village has taken a serious financial hit and just getting everything up and running again will be an enormous task for everyone.” Brian Timmerman – Executive Director — Osborne Village BIZ

“We all must do our part to stop the spread of this terrible disease. While we do our best to stay home, I ask that you not forget the local businesses in Osborne Village and don’t forget to shop local whenever you can. Order takeout for those restaurants that are open during this crisis and be ready to help support local retailers once they reopen when this crisis is over. Together, we can help those local businesses who are in need.” Justin Paquin — Chair- Osborne Village BIZ

Thank you for your support and understanding. Stay safe and take good care of yourself and others. We are a community.
