Pack a lunch and meet us at the Co-op for a bus ride out to Birds Hill Provincial Park. Meet new friends, learn from elders and youth leaders, get in on some fun games and chill out in the shade of the forest.

Make sure to register for the event to secure your spot.

This event would not be possible without the contributions of our friends at Ka Ni Kanichihk and the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, (IRCOM).

Ka Ni Kanichihk (Cree for “those who lead”), is an Indigenous-led organization honoring all people and engaging members of Manitoba’s Indigenous community in culturally-based services from an anti-oppressive framework that support individual and collective growth and development. Within a culturally safe environment, Ka Ni Kanichihk is home to a number of front-line programs that include education and leadership development aimed to address the needs of Indigenous women, girls, youth, families and members of the LGBTTIQQ2S community.

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba Inc. (IRCOM) is a non-profit organization that operates two transitional housing complexes in downtown Winnipeg; IRCOM Ellen and IRCOM Isabel. IRCOM offers secure, affordable and clean apartments to newcomer families for up to 3 years after their arrival.
