Human Rights Day @ CMHR
December 9, 2018 @ 10:00 am-5:00 pm
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Universal Declaration for Human Rights turns 70!
International Human Rights Day is officially on December 10, but because the Museum is closed on Mondays, we’re celebrating it on Sunday, December 9!
Enjoy free admission to our galleries and the Mandela: Struggle for Freedom exhibition. Participate in family-friendly activities as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
Events throughout the day include a Canadian citizenship ceremony and a performance by the Louis Riel School Division Treble Choir. Every day for 30 days leading up to December 10, we’ve been exploring the articles contained within the UDHR – check it out on social media. You can participate by matching dozens of photos with related UDHR articles in a special in-gallery activity.
