Day of the Dead Celebration 2022

St. Norbert Community Centre, 3450 Pembina Highway

Join us for a free community celebration full of joy to remember our loved ones who have passed away and dance the night away.

We invite you to learn about our Day of the Dead traditions including enjoying traditional food like pan de muerto (bread of the dead), dressing up in eye-catching costumes, and assembling colorful floral and skull decorations, which often include symbolic marigolds.

Activities include:

  • Potluck
  • Community Altar
  • Calaveritas Workshops for Kids
  • Costume Contest for Kids and Adults – Prizes
  • Face Painting
  • Day of the Dead Bread
  • Literary Calavera Poetry Contest

Music by DJ Leo Salsero and DJ Chilango
