Come see what central Canada’s premiere bonsai artists have been working on!

Bonsai is the fascinating Japanese art of creating beautiful miniature living versions of ancient trees that you might see in the wild.

The Bonsai Society of Winnipeg has spent the last 40 years specializing in teaching members how to grow and train bonsai in Manitoba’s harsh climate. The exhibit showcases some trees that are native to Manitoba and reflect the Canadian landscape, alongside some exotic tropical species from far-off places, such as the Caribbean, South-east Asia, China or India.

2022’s exhibit will be one of the club’s largest and will feature some trees that have recently begun in their bonsai career, as well as many that have been in development as bonsai for as long as 20 years. Now is your chance to see what becoming a bonsai artist involves. Come to the show, join the club and experience this ancient craft from the inside.

This annual exhibit is a great free experience for the whole family – don’t miss the chance to see these magnificent trees at their peak.
