Come out and be part of the 2nd Annual Bon Odori in Manitoba

Family, friends, and neighbours will get together to enjoy the music and dance of Bon Odori. At the same time you will learn and appreciate Japanese local tradition and history.

This is a combination of the festival for the spirits of ancestors, spirits of nature and harvest, and spirits of Manitoba. We celebrate the ancestors of Japanese and Japanese Canadian in Manitoba and also the indigenous spirits.

Food will be available for purchase. It will be inspired by typical Japanese Street food from multiple stations. Most food will be prepared by Chef Edward Lam for Yujiro Japanese Restaurant. Food tickets will be $6/ticket and most items will cost 1 ticket. In order to save time in line you might want to consider purchasing your food tickets online at https://www.jcamwpg.ca/events/2nd-annual-manitoba-matsuri-the-winnipeg-bon-odori-taikai/.

All the food stations are listed on the above link! Oishi!

Food tickets are Non-Refundable! So please buy only what you will use!

Since event tickets are in limited supply, please only order enough event tickets for those that will definitely attend. Volunteers do not need an event ticket to enter the festival so please don’t order one!

You must arrive between by 3:30 pm or else your ticket will be void. After 3:30 pm, if space permits we will allow walk ups to enter Bon Odori.
