May Schedule:
A Tree-mendous Tour
6 pm / 7 pm
Did you know that not all conifers are evergreen, and that oak trees only produce acorns during “mast” years? Learn more about tree behaviour and how to identify the native trees of Manitoba on this 30-minute tour of the galleries with the Museum’s Curator of Botany, Diana Bizecki Robson.
Sip & Sketch
Grab a drink and a sketchbook and discover the Museum Galleries from a whole new perspective!
Top Gun Science
Do you feel the need… the need for SPEED? Visit the Science Gallery where we will be celebrating the science of flight. Discover the basics of getting a plane into the sky with exciting science demonstrations throughout the evening. Put your plane-making skills to the test and see if you can be the Top Gun who can keep theirs in the air the longest. Participate in our LEGO challenge to design and engineer an airplane that even Maverick himself couldn’t resist!
Pull out your flight suit and your aviator sunglasses, choose your pilot call sign, and come be a Top Gun Scientist!
