161 new cases of COVID-19 as of 9:30 AM, October 25

Public health officials advise four deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported from the Winnipeg health region including.

The data shows there were:

• 10 cases in the Interlake–Eastern health region;
• seven cases in the Northern health region;
• four cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region;
• 30 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
• 110 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
Laboratory testing numbers show 2,362 tests were completed on Friday and an additional 2,252 on Saturday, bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February to 240,639. Case investigations continue and if a public health risk is identified, the public will be notified.

Principal Sparling School (1150 Sherburn St) Winnipeg, October 13, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 13 and 14 when the individual may have been infectious. Those identified as close contacts have been contacted by public health officials and provided instructions for self-isolation (quarantine). All others can continue to attend school in person.
Sargent Park School (1577 Wall St. East) October 19, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 19 when the individual may have been infectious. Based on the public health investigation, this exposure was assessed to be low risk. At this time, no close contacts have been identified. No one is required to self-isolate from this exposure.
St. John’s High School (401 Church Ave) October 15, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 15 and 16 when the individual may have been infectious. Based on the public health investigation, this exposure was assessed to be low risk. At this time, no close contacts have been identified at St. John’s High School. No one is required to self-isolate (quarantine) from this exposure.
Centre Scolaire Léo-Rémillard (1095 St Anne’s Rd) October 16, 2020 Three confirmed cases of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 16 when the individuals may have been infectious. Public health has advised that close contacts begin quarantine (isolation). The cohort is advised to self-monitor for symptoms and seek testing if symptoms develop. The school will remain open to all other students and staff, who can continue to attend school in person.
Our Lady of Victory School (249 Arnold Avenue) October 14, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 14 and 15 when the individual may have been infectious. Public health has advised that the affected cohort begins quarantine (isolation). All other cohorts can continue to attend school in person.
Maples Met School (1330 Jefferson Ave) October 14, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 15 when the individual may have been infectious.Close contacts connected to the case have been identified by public health, and have received a letter notifying them that they are a close contact and been advised to self-isolate (quarantine).The school will remain open to all other students and staff, who can continue to attend school in person.
Island Lakes Community School (445 Island Shore Blvd) October 14, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 14 and 16 when the individual may have been infectious. Based on the public health investigation, this exposure was assessed to be low risk. The infection was not believed to be acquired at school. At this time, no close contacts have been identified. No one is required to self-isolate from this exposure.
Daniel McIntyre Collegiate (720 Alverstone St) October 14, 2020 A confirmed case of COVID-19 attended the school on Oct. 14 when the individual may have been infectious. Based on the public health investigation, this exposure was assessed to be low risk. The infection was not believed to be acquired at school. This case does not appear to be linked to previous cases. At this time, no close contacts have been. No one is required to self-isolate from this exposure.
